Located in the centre of Banningham, the Banningham & Colby Community Hall is undergoing a major refurbishment and is now almost ready for an exciting future as the village hub.


The hall will transfer to charitable status and a new Village Hall Team will manage the facility on behalf of the Charity. The Parish Council will be the Sole/Managing Trustee and a new post is being created to be part of the hall team and to co-ordinate the community volunteers involved.

Job Title – Banningham and Colby Community Hall Team Leader


Accountable to – the Sole/Managing Trustee


Terms of Employment

  • The post is for a fixed term of two years to be reviewed after 18 months.

  • The post is at NALC Scale Point 14, paid monthly.

  • The post is 4 hours per week and maybe amended to meet the demands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Community Village Team in managing The Village Hall.

  • Ensure that records (Agendas and Minutes) are produced for Team meetings

  • Maintain financial accounts and report as required.

  • Ensure that The Village Team meets the Charity requirements, including legal responsibilities.

  • Ensure that The Team meets The Governance statement requirements

  • To market the hall and ensure good customer liaison

  • Ensure that day to day operational requirements to run the hall are met

  • Report to the Charity Trustee as required.

  • Help the Community Hall to be a successful community hub.
