Ingworth Parish Council Vacancy

Applications are invited for the part-time role (average 1-2 hours per week) of Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer for Ingworth Parish Council. Hours must be worked flexibly including attendance at meetings and working from home. The Council meets four times a year in February, May, August and November, usually on the second Thursday of the month. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications.


Duties include:


  • Organising and attending council meetings, preparing agendas and writing minutes

  • Maintaining/updating the village website and noticeboard

  • Maintaining/updating files and documents

  • Implementing the Council's decisions

  • Attending to email correspondence

  • Managing the finances, preparing the annual budget, requesting the precept and reporting finances to the Council

  • Advise the Council

  • Be the first point of contact for the public
