DRAYTON PARISH COUNCIL
Drayton Parish Council is looking for a Deputy Clerk and Facilities Manager for 24 hours per week on LC2 Substantive Range SCP28 at £19.05/hour.
Drayton Parish is facing considerable development which has provided opportunities for the Parish Council to improve it’s open spaces and facilities for the community.
This new post is key to delivering improved services for the residents of Drayton and you will be expected to develop key policies and implement new systems to ensure all Council facilities are managed safely and efficiently, and services are delivered to a high standard.
You will be leading the work of the Open Spaces & Property Committee and the Environment & Highways Committee, responsible for the management of Council assets and the preservation and enhancement of the local environment.
You will be instrumental in the development of service areas including pitch bookings, allotments and SAM2 and work alongside key stakeholders to lead on proposed development projects including King George V Pavilion refurbishment and Green Lanes Jetty.
As Deputy Clerk you will assist the Clerk in the execution of all Council business and to meet the Parish Council’s statutory requirements, ensuring decision of the Council are effectively made and implemented. You will be required to deputise for the Clerk during their absence.
In addition, you will be the first point of contact for the Council Office and respond to public enquiries by email, telephone and in person on a range of subjects as appropriate.
