TILNEY ALL SAINTS PARISH COUNCIL PARISH CLERK
Our Parish Clerk will be retiring on 31st March 2024 and Councillors wish to find a proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated person to work alongside the Clerk and formally take over the role on 1st April 2024.
The Parish Council has a separate Responsible Finance Officer (RFO) in place.
The post is home based.
You will be required to work 22 ½ hours per month which includes attendance at all Parish Council meetings plus the Annual Parish Meeting.
Parish Council meetings are held eleven times a year plus occasional extraordinary meetings when required.
Meetings are held in the evening on the second Thursday of the month.
You will ensure that all legal, statutory, and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered, and decisions effectively implemented.
You will also be responsible for the Council’s risk management.
Candidates should have excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills.
Pay will be in line with nationally recognised guidelines and according to experience and qualifications [Salary scale SCP 12 to 15].
Support and training will be provided.
