HOW TO TAILOR STANDING ORDERS AND FINANCIAL REGULATIONS TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF YOUR COUNCIL

Are your standing orders and financial regulations fit for purpose?  This three-hour practical course takes a look at the most recent revisions to these key local council documents. 
 
We will explain the legislative background, the purpose of these key control documents and how to tailor these documents so that they work well for your council.  You will receive advice on how often these documents should be reviewed, and the way to conduct a review. This course aims to inform and support clerks, their deputies, chairmen and councillors.

 

This course is recommended for clerks (new clerks and those wanting an update), chairmen and councillors.
