GETTING TO GRIPS WITH TRANSPARENCY
Is your Council fully transparent?
Transparency affects every council, not just small councils. This course helps you to understand and implement the requirements of the various laws concerning local council transparency. Transparency is needed in everything from the way we write our agendas and minutes, to our publication scheme, dealing with press and public at meetings, access to financial information and councillor interests.
A two and half hour course which is a must for all clerks and councillors as they are all team players in the corporate body. Transparency must not only be understood but must be applied.
