It might be a parish or town councillor who has demonstrated outstanding commitment or achieved something exceptional on behalf of their council?   Or perhaps someone in the wider community or voluntary sector who has gone ‘above and beyond’ what anyone could have asked.  If so, have you considered nominating them for an honour?     It is not as complicated as many people think:  Anyone can nominate anyone for an honour and you don’t have to specify what type of honour they should receive – simply that you and others believe they deserve recognition.  The Norfolk Lieutenancy has produced a handy guide, which gives more information on the process, and what is required.
